My name is Kelly Gates and I am the Guidance Counselor at Priceville Junior High School. After completion of a bachelors degree in Psychology, I worked with Mental Health Center and then worked in child welfare (7 yrs). Upon completion of my Masters Degree, I began work in School Guidance Counseling and have been in that capacity for 4 years. I have one year of middle school experience and three in elementary. I have a passion to work closely on the social, developmental, and emotional issues that affect students today. I enjoy working with teens and "tweens" and the unique sets of issues they face each day. I hope to reach out to each of them to guide them to academic success.
I look forward to meeting all of the parents of PJHS and getting to know all of the students. I have seen first hand the effects of a district that values their child's education and future goals. It is a blessing to be part of Morgan County Schools.
